Fast course for fashionistas

Pam Rabelais Vinci, curator of the LSU Textile and Costume Museum and an LSU professor of textile science, apparel design and merchandising, will lead a guided tour through the LASM’s “The Purse and the Person” exhibit. Vinci will discuss the evolution of women’s fashion, handbag fabrication methods, and the historic and socio-cultural significance of apparel. This stunning exhibit ends on September 13, so this is one of your last chances to catch it, and your only chance to enjoy it with the accompaniment of an expert eye. Free to the public.
