Critics across the country have already called it one of the best films of the year. Gravity is a science fiction drama starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. Directed by Alfonso Cuarón, the story follows two astronauts who have to work together to survive after an accident leaves them adrift in space. Like Cuarón’s Children of Men before it, Gravity has a heavy sense of dread and visceral drama alongside beautiful visuals and jaw-dropping camerawork. Sitting at a 96% fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes, the film is being lauded as the spectacle of the fall, and one that fully uses IMAX and 3D technology to its potential. Rated PG-13.
