British cuisine has long suffered a reputation for being bland and tasteless—the polar opposite of Cajun food. But the menu at the recently opened Londoner Pub & Grill may give Baton Rouge diners reason to revise their opinions of British fare. Between crispy beer-battered fish and chips and tasty tikka masala, they’re turning the trend around. But a runaway favorite—at least for this food writer—are the curry chips. Who needs Heinz when you have two different types of curry sauce to dip your fries in?
