Duplicity
-
It’s ironic that British actor Clive Owen passed on becoming the new James Bond a couple of years ago but has since portrayed such similar characters on screen. This month, audiences still suffering from a backlash against Daniel Craig’s Bond get two doses of their beloved Owen in The International and Duplicity. While Craig’s last outing, Quantum of Solace, blatantly mimed the Jason Bourne movies, Duplicity was actually written by Bourne Identity scribe and Michael Clayton director Tony Gilroy. The stylish con film reunites impassioned Closer co-stars Owen and Julia Roberts as former spies who team up for a huge takedown of their new competing corporate bosses. But will their romantic past get in the way of the big score? Paul Giamatti and Tom Wilkinson co-star. Rated R. Duplicity opens nationwide March 20. duplicitymovie.net
