Downloads: The Vivid event app

Two locals recently pushed out a new app that aims to change the way you attend and experience events. Graphic designer Jason Gardner of Vivid Images, with the help of artist and entrepreneur Christopher Turner, launched Vivid: The Event App in June.

The app lets event promoters create special pages where attendees can check in, share photos and chat in real time with other attendees. Promoters can also see who is helping to generate the most buzz via their posts and connect with them to help publicize future events.

“Facebook is a bit crowded now,” Turner says. “With Vivid, you are able to organize and customize what type of events you want to have come to you.”

The free app is available for iPhones and Android phones.
