Double bill at Haven Gallery

Saturday, the Haven Gallery and Listening Room celebrates the upcoming release of Clay Parker’s debut album, The Wind and the Warble, with an intimate acoustic performance featuring both Clay Parker himself and local singer-songwriter Denton Hatcher. Parker’s warm, back porch vocals and meditative melodies nearly stop time, transporting listeners to the place of Parker’s choosing, with his snappy, at times, acidic tales, tender finger-picking guitar and gusts of harmonica acting as honorable guides. Hatcher cut his chops on lead guitar in a string of beloved bands including Righteous Buddha and the Black Sound Parade before riding his own rail with a solo record and an energetic live band, the Soap Box Blues.
