Donner-Peltier introduces LA 1 Whiskey

Since Prohibition, Louisiana has stayed out of the aged whiskey game—until now. Donner-Peltier Distillers’ LA 1 Whiskey has the distinction of being the state’s first aged whiskey since Prohibition. Hand-crafted in small batches, it’s 94 proof and fairly potent, yet smooth.

The whiskey will be available in Baton Rouge in March in limited quantities and only to a select group of stores, bars and restaurants, including both Calandro’s Supermarket locations, Martin’s Wine Cellar, Olive or Twist and Beausoleil. LA 1 is the latest product from Donner-Peltier, an award-winning distillery in Thibodaux. The distillery’s Oryza brand gin and vodka and Rougaroux brand rums have won gold and silver awards at the San Francisco Spirits and World Spirits competitions.
