Discuss ‘Art After Hours’

The Louisiana Art & Science Museums hosts Art After Hours Thursday at 5:30 p.m. This week’s edition is dubbed “Tales Along the River” and features a discussion with John Guider who will tell his story of survival and personal fulfillment as he journeyed down the Mississippi River. Guider kept a journal and took hundreds of photographs during his solitary three-month experience canoeing down five waterways, from his Tennessee backyard to New Orleans. The photos are part of an exhibit called “The River Inside” that will be on display at the museum. Admission is $7 for nonmembers. The event includes complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres.
