Dirty Projectors headline Chelsea’s Cafe

Here’s a great reason to scoot into Chelsea’s on Thursday: The Dirty Projectors. Fans in Baton Rouge have long awaited the indie rock band’s arrival to the city, especially after the freshly released Bitte Orca, the latest album. Lead man David Longstreth collaborated last year with Björk for a charity concert to benefit Housing Works, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing shelter for homeless men, women, and children suffering from AIDS. Opening band is Givers, a fun indie dance band from Lafayette.(Photo by Sarah Cass)
