Dirty Politics, filmed in B.R., to screen at Manship

He’s bringing integrity back to the White House. Jimmy Breaux, a Louisiana senator, is running for president, and the only thing that can stop him is a live boy or a dead girl. Starring Beau Bridges and Judd Nelson, Dirty Politics screens at the Manship Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 16. Jimmy Breaux, played by John Valdetero, doesn’t sound a bit like a Hollywood A-lister doing a very bad Louisiana accent as seen in Waterboy or Steel Magnolias. Besides, you’ll see some familiar local faces in some familiar settings. Two screenings of the independent film are at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. For ages 18 and up only. Tickets are $12.
