Dine out for literacy
Save that frozen lasagna for another time. Tuesday’s the night to dine out to help the Greater Baton Rouge Literacy Coalition. Eat at any of the following restaurants, and they’ll donate 15% of the day’s profits to the reading nonprofit that works to promote adult literacy. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, get a table at Louie’s Café, Casa Maria Restaurant, Fish City Grill, Fresh Salads & Wraps on United Plaza Blvd. or Counter Culture. On Wednesday, Sept. 3, fill up at the Hollywood Casino Steakhouse. You can also shop at Barnes & Noble from Aug. 30 to Sept. 7 and still benefit the literacy coalition.
