Dig some Earth
Fans who have already seen the Discovery Channel series Planet Earth may bristle at this long-awaited feature-length version produced by Disney Nature Films. But, really, with wildlife footage this stunning, who wouldn’t pay $8 to see it as large as possible? And what better way to celebrate Earth Day on April 22. Following three animal families in migration, directors Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield provide a visually stunning narrative that spans the globe. It’s what Al Gore’s over-hyped slideshow An Inconvenient Truth should have been. Because gorgeous footage of our planet and its inhabitants gives us reason enough to do what we can to preserve it. Narrated by James Earl Jones. Rated G.
