Debbie Allen returns to B.R. for ‘Derek’s Song’

Award-winning dancer and choreographer Debbie Allen returns to Baton Rouge for a new production, “Derek’s Song: Here’s to Life.”

The show honors the life of Arts Council CEO Derek Gordon and features local dancers and talent trained by Allen.

Performances will be held Thursday-Sunday at the Baton Rouge Community College’s Magnolia Performing Arts Pavilion. Tickets are $20. The show will start at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. There will also be shows at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, visit manshiptheatre.org.
