Death Race starts Friday

Grindhouse and B-movie fans alert! This remake of the 1975 film Death Race 2000, which starred David Carradine and a pre-Rocky Sylvester Stallone, is set in a post-Industrial prison where the cons are forced to gas through a brutal race that could cost them their lives. Kind of like Grand Theft Auto after the cops show up. Jason Statham and Tyrese Gibson take the leads here with Bourne vet Joan Allen playing the tough-as-nails warden. Rated R.
