Daredevil water sports, beach party in Zachary

Who said nothing ever happens in Zachary? Obviously, they don’t know about the 2008 LA Night Jam. The professional water-ski jump competition and festival starts this Saturday at Bennett’s Ski School. Gates open at 6 p.m. with live music and a wakeboard, barefoot and ski show following. The Women’s and Men’s Night Jump Competition Finals start at 8 p.m., followed by a beach party until 1 a.m.  $10 per car load. Details at lanightjam.com.
