The New Orleans-born rapper who made a name for himself with his speedy raps and wit makes a visit to Baton Rouge. You might remember Mystikal as the man behind such songs as “Danger” and “Shake Ya A**” from the 2000 hit album Let’s Get Ready. Though legal troubles followed the rapper for the last decade, he is making quite the comeback. His new album, to be titled Original, is slated for release this year and features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes and Trombone Shorty. Mystikal will give fans a taste of what they’ve been waiting for when he performs Thursday at The Varsity. Steel Bill will open. Tickets are $25 and available via TicketWeb.
