Cruisin’ and bruisin’ Derby season opener

Skates, skirts and scars rule as the Red Stick Roller Derby presents a double-header opening bout this Saturday at the River Center. First up, the rookie Capital Defenders will take on Hattiesburg’s Southern Misfits in a knock-down, drag-out bout. Then Baton Rouge’s all-stars, the Diablo Rouges, will battle the Houston Knockouts. These lovely ladies will teach you a whole new meaning of “Hell on Wheels” as they fight it out on the track with their fellow rollergirls.
