Cross the river for an international festival

Come out and join the West Baton Rouge Museum in collaboration with the Baton Rouge Center for World Affairs and the Smithsonian Institute on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a day of free educational entertainment. Cultural Shock is a fun-filled festival of international food, crafts, body art, dance, a talent show and more from such far-off places as Thailand, China, Japan, Venezuela and India.  Food items prepared by the participating countries offer visitors a taste of cuisines from around the world. With everything from native dances to demonstrations on how to properly hold those pesky chopsticks, you’re certain to find some enlightenment on some aspect of a different culture.
