Country singer Jamey Johnson performs at L’Auberge

One of current country music’s more respected voices heads to Baton Rouge. Jamey Johnson, a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter known for songs such as “In Color” and “High Cost of Living,” will perform at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40. You must be 21 or older to enter. Johnson is currently working on a follow-up to 2012’s Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran. In 2010, Johnson released a double album, The Guitar Song, that was met with wide acclaim.

Voodoo Town, Telegraph Salesman. New Orleans musicians perform at Mud and Water. 9 p.m. $6.
Rock N Rowe. The Chris LeBlanc band performs at Perkins Rowe’s Town Square Park as part of the free concert series. 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

Selfawarewolf, Strugglebear. Alternative and hard rock bands perform at Mud and Water. 9 p.m. $6.
Ian Von. The R&B singer celebrates the release of his new album, Love Songs, Beats & Guitars at Who’s Who (10330 Airline Hwy.) 8 p.m.
Dolo Jazz Suite: Baton Rouge #11. An all-ages show at Quarters, featuring musical performances from Zetroc, Ganz Feld and more as well as art from The LZA, Yung Quasar and Lil Bitcoin. 9 p.m. $5.
Live After Five. The Chee Weez perform in the annual concert series’ spring debut at North Boulevard’s Town Square. 5 p.m.
Southern Soul Assembly Tour. Marc Broussard, JJ Grey, Luther Dickinson and Anders Osborne perform at Manship Theatre. Tickets start at $50. 7:30 p.m.
Latin Fuzion. The Varsity hosts music from DJ Calde, DJ SoBe and DJ Baby H “La Bori.” A free salsa lesson starts at 9 p.m. $10 at the door.

Art/Music Benefit for Matt Tugwell. Featuring performances from Baby Boy, Relatives and 99,000 A.D. 7 p.m.
