Copeland’s introduces new BBQ menu

Copeland’s of New Orleans restaurants have just added a saucy new section to their menu—barbecue. Already famous for family-style New Orleans dining, Copeland’s decision to add some juicy pulled pork ribs and slow-roasted brisket to their menu came straight from Al Copeland Jr. himself. “By creating this menu, we’re shining light on a great New Orleans tradition and trying to help our city get the reputation it deserves as a top destination for BBQ,” says Copeland. With locations throughout the South, Copeland’s joins restaurant ventures like Voodoo BBQ that are trying to spread the word about New Orleans barbecue. “When people talk about the best places to get barbecue, it’s often Texas, Memphis or the Carolinas. One of the best-kept secrets is that New Orleans is second-to-none when it comes to its BBQ. In New Orleans, we do BBQ unlike anywhere else,” said Johnny Vice, the new “pit master” at Copeland’s New Orleans location.
