Continuing Christmas shows

-

You and your family can get into the Christmas “spirit” at the Baton Rouge Little Theatre as they tackle Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. This time-honored tale about the ghostly redemption of the curmudgeonly Ebenezer Scrooge is part of the holiday canon. After his miserly ways cost his employee Bob Cratchit Christmas Day with his family, Scrooge is forced to re-examine his life with the help of three ghosts. But will their influence be enough to help Scrooge turn his life around? Tickets are $25 at brlt.org. And Baton Rouge’s Playmakers theatre presents a hilarious holiday musical, following the adventures of incorrigible first grader Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells. Junie’s been on her best behavior and is looking forward to Christmas—and the heaps of presents that will ensue. But when she pulls tattletale May’s name for Secret Santa, will her perfect Christmas be ruined? Runs through Dec. 18. Tickets are $15-$20. playmakers.net
