Community theater could use a bit more drama
-
Have you and your children yet experienced the new and improved Baker Little Theatre? New owners Stephen and Kelly Lee, who met at the intimate community theater 10 years ago, jumped at the chance to buy and renovate the failing 110-seat playhouse last year. With a facelift, modern concessions with wine and beer and weekend matinees, the Baker Little Theatre unfortunately has gotten off to a slow start. Bring your young ones, your nieces and nephews to see the latest children’s production, Beanie and the Bamboozling Book Machine. Join Beanie as his reading machine goes haywire, making Snow White, Hansel and Gretel (pictured left) and the Wizard of Oz return to their respective fairy tales. The show continues through June 29. 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. matinees. Tickets $13, with discounts for matinees, small children and senior citizens. (Courtesy Baker Little Theatre)
