Come for dinner, stay for drama – 225’s guide to hosting a “Real Housewives” party
Editor’s note: McNeil serves as the special events coordinator for 225 and inRegister.
On a cold, dreary night or after a long day at work, a Real Housewives rerun can offer a certain amount of comfort; drama-filled comfort, but still.
While watching an episode of the Beverly Hills version a few months ago, I had an idea: Throw a dinner party better than theirs. One with more fun and less fighting.

Twenty-four hours later I had invited six lovely “housewives” of Baton Rouge for a party that would include diamonds and gowns, flawless makeup, a limo, a gourmet feast and a photographer to document it all.
Admittedly, it was an all-day affair just getting ready for the big event, but all of the planning, pampering and prepping was well worth it.
Here is 225‘s guide to throwing your own Housewives-themed party and a few favorite photos from our memorable night.
