Clean, classic interiors

Baton Rougeans now have a new option when it comes to high-end furniture and interior design. Patti DuPree Furniture & Interiors opened in February. As well as clean, classic sofas and loveseats, the store also offers custom-designed window treatments, drapes, artwork, dining tables and other interior accessories.

The 9,000-square-foot store is located on Perkins Road near Highland Road in the former location of Cyrus Persian Rugs, which moved to Bluebonnet Boulevard. Cyrus’ owner Cyrus Bonakchi is a co-owner of the new store with Patti DuPree, who has 30-plus years of interior design experience.

DuPree is working with three other local interior designers at the store: Brittany Peltier, Linda Cavin and Diane Scimeca. So far, the response to her store’s aesthetic has been good, she says.

“People walk in, and the expressions on their faces—they’re in awe,” DuPree says. “That’s been rewarding to see. All the customers have been telling us how excited they are to see a store like this is the area.” facebook.com/pattidupreefurnitureandinterior
