Take your love of cinema from the crowded, chilly theater out under the stars with Baton Rouge Gallery’s “Music and Movies on the Lawn” series kicking off this Saturday, May 31 with a special showing of Charlie Chaplin’s silent epic The Circus with music provided by local band Gnarlie Chaplin. This year’s theme, “Giants of American Cinema,” will celebrate the work of both Chaplin and Alfred Hitchcock with viewings of a variety of their films on the final Saturday of every month, through October. Free for members, $5 for non-members. Free popcorn. Show starts at 8 p.m.
