Cinderella Project goes runway-ready
LSU textile science and design students turn their fashionable talents to making wedding dresses, prom dresses and more to benefit underprivileged girls at the first Cinderella Project Runway event. Their skills will be on full display as models strut the catwalk wearing reconstructed and deconstructed garments at this cool charity party at the Lyceum Dean this Thursday. Tickets are $75 for runway seating, or $20 per person for general admission. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., models start walking at 7:30. Proceeds will go towards purchasing plus-sized dresses, to ensure that every student, regardless of size, can wear her perfect dress to the prom. Find more info at cinderellaprojectbr.org.
