Cheers: Turkey, meet gin
I read somewhere that gin goes really well with turkey, and sure enough, the duo is a winner. Now you’ve just read it here. But if gin is not your favorite, try mixing it—say, with vodka, rum, triple sec, amaretto, sour mix and a splash of grenadine. Even Dr. Pepper. Forget Henry Clay—gin is the great compromiser. The mixologists at Walk-On’s add all of the above to gin, and they call it The Carlyle ($5.75). It’s a little like a Long Island Iced Tea gussied up for our Southern tastes and ready to chase some turkey this month.—Mary Wall
