Cheers: Dessert martinis a vacation getaway drink

If it’s summer, it must be vacation time. But if you can’t enjoy the crisp New England air, the sultry and salty breezes of the Florida Keys or the history of Charleston, S.C., you can let these signature dessert cocktails stir your inner traveler. The Boston Cream Pie martini is a specialty of Boston’s Omni Parker House, which was founded in 1855 and is the longest continuously operating hotel in the U.S. The Key lime pie martini captures the tart flavor of the tiny citrus synonymous with places like Key Largo, Islamorada and Key West. And the Coconut Cake Cocktail comes from the Peninsula Grill in Charleston, where the 12-layer cake is pure indulgence infused with coconut and fresh vanilla. So now you can have your cake—or pie—and drink it, too, with these tasty regional favorites.
