Cheers: Abita Vanilla Doubledog

Abita is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the best way its people know how: by releasing a delectable new brew, Vanilla Doubledog. This robust dark ale has strong notes of chocolate, toffee and vanilla; it’s brewed with generous amounts of pale, caramel and chocolate malts and Willamette hops, and whole natural vanilla beans are added during the aging process. Doubledog is a tribute not only to the company but to Abita’s Turbodog, which was originally created as an anniversary beer in 1989. Look for the Doubledog label—illustrated to resemble New Orleans wrought iron—in stores this month.
