A Kentucky singer-songwriter brings his gritty tunes to Baton Rouge. Chris Knight performs Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Manship Theatre as part of the venue’s Red Dragon Songwriter Series. Tickets start at $40. Chris Canterbury will open the show. Knight is considered one of country music’s grittier songwriters. He has written tunes for Blake Shelton, Randy Travis and many more. He penned his biggest hit, “She Couldn’t Change Me,” for Montgomery Gentry in 2001. In 2012, Knight released his eighth album, Little Victories, which shot up to No. 4 on the Billboard Heatseekers charts for independently released albums.
