West Baton Rouge Parish’s Margaret Plantation (Map it!) will play host to the Cane Field Classic this Saturday. Proceeds from the event go toward helping the RocketKidz Foundation fight childhood obesity. Choose your own intensity from three different race options—Sugar Mile, Cane Field 4 Mile or Rows of Hell 1 Mile—all of which will take you along canals and down cane field roads. If you can make it through all three races, you’ll qualify to win the “most dangerous running medal in the world,” a custom engraved Cane Cutter Challenge machete.
