Cerulean surprise

Photos by Tate Tullier

I set out to make this dress last May or June but did not put the finishing touches on it until a few months ago. Projects are difficult for me when they do not include a due date. I am not so much a procrastinator, rather I work best with time limits. My brain works best when I know what to expect, or at least have an outline. I like the familiar. I was that student who read chapters before class and made an outline of important information before the teacher taught the material. That stopped around the time that I confused myself more by pre-teaching myself math and science, ha! Let’s just say that geometry and chemistry are not my most proficient subject matter.

I’ll stick to sewing. It’s way more therapeutic than math homework-induced headaches.

PS: Add a major pop of color to your dark winter wardrobe to ease into spring!
