Krewe of Artemis celebrates its 12th year with a parade Friday starting at 7 p.m. Artemis is the Red Stick’s first and only parade featuring an exclusively female krewe and the theme this year is “Come Rock and Roll with Artemis.” The parade begins and ends at the River Center. On Saturday, the Krewe of Mystique de la Capitale and the Krewe of Orion roll through downtown at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively. In its 37th year, Mystique is the city’s longest running parade, indulging in family-friendly fun and helping to promote local businesses. The Krewe of Orion pays homage to cultural monuments and historical figures with its 14th annual celebration of “Legends and Landmarks.” Both parades begin and end at the River Center.
