Celebrate the holiday and more at the zoo – The Baton Rouge Zoo hosts “Red, White and Zoo” Saturday.

The Baton Rouge Zoo hosts “Red, White and Zoo” Saturday. The event kicks off at 9:30 a.m., and patrons can visit the zoo’s red, white and blue animal friends. The event also includes amphitheatre programs, games and crafts featuring the furry animals. Admission is $8.25 for adults and teens, $5.25 for children 2-12, and it is free for children 1 year old and younger. Group rates are also available. The zoo also hosts a Twilight Tour Thursday at 6 p.m. The tour includes an animal encounter at the Wildlife Safari Theatre and a snack. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
