CC’s serves up coffee and charity
The art of local 14-year-old Apprentice Campbell adorns a special treat this year—a travel mug produced as a joint effort between Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and CC’s Coffee Houses. The Children’s Hospital is an 85-bed facility within Our Lady of the Lake, and is the second-largest children’s hospital in Louisiana, treating 70,000 children last year alone. They treat all children regardless of the family’s ability to pay. The cute reusable blue-topped mugs, decorated with Campbell’s winning crayon illustration, sell for $4.95 at all 12 CC’s locations in the Baton Rouge area, with proceeds benefiting the hospital’s charitable efforts. “We are extremely grateful to the Community Coffee Company family for this creative approach to help us raise funds and awareness for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital,” said John Paul Funes, president and CEO of the OLOL Foundation. “Community Coffee has a longstanding culture of supporting the youth in our community, and the patients we treat are the latest group of children blessed by their generosity.” (Image courtesy OLOL)
