Multitalented singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale visits the Capital City Friday. Lauderdale will perform with Peter Cooper as part of the Red Dragon Listening Room’s ongoing Songwriters Series at Manship Theatre. Patrick Sylvest will open the show, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $40 online. Lauderdale is a Grammy winner whose songs have been recorded by artists such as Elvis Costello, Vince Gill and The Dixie Chicks. He is considered among Nashville’s “A list” when it comes to songwriters. Cooper is a Red Dragon favorite who not only has a Grammy nod under his belt, but also is an award-winning journalist.
