When you think of rock ‘n’ roll history, you’ll probably come across Eric Burdon and his popular band The Animals. The band popularized the traditional tune “The House of the Rising Sun” in 1964 and went on to even more success with blues-oriented rock songs like “I’m Crying,” “We Gotta Get Out of This Place,” and “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood.” Fans of the band are in for a treat this week as Burdon and The Animals will perform Wednesday and Thursday night at Manship Theatre.
