Capital coffee

Capital Heights Coffee has opened this week in Midcity, serving up fresh joe to customers at their location on the corner of South Foster and Government St. The new coffee shop shares a location with Crawdaddy’s, a seasonal crawfish shop. Under the management of owner Michael Mahaffey, former co-owner of Perks Coffee and Tea, the new bean bar serves up fresh-roasted and ground Nicaraguan, Colombian and Guatemalan coffee blends made especially for their location. Their menu offers everything from frozen granitas to hot mochas, as well as fresh muffins, cinnamon rolls, and coffee cakes. Open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
