Calendar: Wine and Dine for a cause … Ruffino’s Oscar night dinner

Lofty aspirations: The Wine Loft downtown will partner with marathon runner and Baton Rouge native Sarah Collins for an evening of food, wine, music and fund-raising. The Wine Loft will donate a portion of their profit for the night towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Tickets will also be raffled for fabulous prizes from luggage sets to Ray-Ban sunglasses. Musical entertainment will include the Benjy Davis Project and Collins Meredith. Thursday, Feb. 24, from 5-7 p.m. Star-struck in the Red Stick: Ruffino’s is rolling out the red carpet on Sunday for their annual Oscar Night dinner. Enjoy a five-course meal themed to the various Oscar nominees—from The King’s Speech king salmon to Black Swan chocolate mousse. Costumes aren’t required, but feel free to dress up as your favorite movie character for the “paparazzi” in attendance. Tickets are $100 per person. Click here for more information.
