Dishing it out:  Top Chef Season 5 winner Hosea Rosenberg plans to return to New Orleans in May as a featured guest at FEASTiVAL, a feast of signature dishes paired with select wines—thanks to the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience. The party starts at 7:30 p.m. May 21 at Harrah’s New Orleans Theatre. Zapp right over: The LSU Rural Life Museum will be the honored beneficiary of the Zapp’s International Beerfest, one of the hottest events at the urban country museum. Plan to be there from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. March 28. Tickets, which usually sell out, are $25 by calling 765-2437. Uncork your taste buds: The ever-popular Baton Rouge Uncorked hosts its spring cabernet sauvignon tasting tonight at the Sheraton Atrium. The tasting benefits the YMCA of the Capital Area’s Strong Kids Campaign. A $20 minimum donation per person gets you three matching bottles of cab per team at the door (and light food from chef Scott Varnedoe). 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Details at batonrougeuncorked.com.Chili cook-off: The Baton Rouge District Chili Cook-Off happens this weekend at the LSU 4-H Mini Barn on campus. Sample the best from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Bring the children for face-painting and other treats. Admission is free, but food tickets in dollar increments are for sell (bowls of chili are around $3). LSU horticulture plant sale is happening next door.
