Calendar: Sullivan’s offers “Pink Menu” for October … Tailgating throwdown at Red Stick Farmers Market

Think pink: For the month of October, Sullivan’s Steakhouse will raise money for the fight against breast cancer with a special “Pink Menu,” featuring a tempting starter, specially created entrée, side dish and dessert for $39.95. Anniversary rumble: Red Stick Farmers Market will celebrate 15 years in downtown Baton Rouge on Nov. 5 with its first-ever Tailgating Throwdown competition. Individuals and teams will compete in a cooking competition along the streets of downtown Baton Rouge using local ingredients from the Red Stick Farmers Market. Winning categories will include Best Use of Local Ingredients, People’s Choice Award and Tailgating Throwdown Champion.
