Calendar: State Museum’s lunchtime stories … U-Way stamps out hunger
Lunch-hour lagniappe: The State Museum hosts lunchtime stories every Wednesday at noon. Lunch-time learning includes a brief account of LSU’s old campus, now the site of the State Capitol, Dr. Margaret R. McMillan’s murder in the Red Stick and the Louisiana Gumbo Project. Visit lsm.crt.state.la.us for details.Food drive: Pencil Saturday, May 9 on your schedule as local letter carriers help the United Way’s Stamp Out Hunger! campaign. Your mailman will collect non-perishable foods if you leave a sturdy bag by the mailbox. Capital Area United Way distributes the food to its member agencies, something especially needed in the summer months.
