Calendar: Spanish flair at Shaw Center … Haunting Halloween at Whole Foods

Spain comes to Shaw: Artistic Culinary Infusions presents SPAIN!, an inaugural event which unites food, wine, music and art into a single night. Featuring dishes from the area’s premier local chefs and wine from Martin’s Wine Cellar. Proceeds from the night will go towards the Community Association for the Welfare of School Children. Giving back has never tasted so good! Thursday, Nov. 5 on the fourth floor of the Shaw Center for the Arts. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Guests receive $5 off if they bring art supplies or paper for CAWSC. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. A boo to-do: Saturday, Whole Foods will hold its annual community Halloween Carnival. Customers can trick or treat across the store, play fun carnival games and take a tour of a mad scientist’s lab. Bring a photo of you in your costume and enter to win the costume contest. 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free to the public.
