Calendar: Capital Chefs’ Showcase coming up … Pop-up restaurant tickets on sale Friday

Showing off: The 19th annual Capital Chefs’ Showcase, benefiting Cancer Services of Baton Rouge, happens Sept. 8, at which 27 of the area’s premier restaurants and caterers will prepare and offer their specialty dishes for tasting by attendees. The Silent Auction preview party begins at 6 p.m., the showcase at 7 p.m. Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in a Champagne & Diamonds Shopping Extravaganza Raffle presented by Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry.
