By the slice
DeAngelo’s is serving up something enormously different. Enormous being the key word: Pizzas two feet across populate the newly refurbished Louis DeAngelo’s Pizzeria on Lee Drive. These mega-sized mouthfuls are sold by the foot-long slice, starting at $4 for the plain cheese, $5 for pepperoni, and $6 for a rotating menu of specialty toppings. The new pizzeria differs from the DeAngelo’s Casual Italian Dining restaurants by virtue of being even more casual: Besides the king-sized pizza pies, they’re offering slightly altered versions of their signature sandwiches, and a whole roster of different desserts.
