Burn After Reading ignites Friday

The latest head-scratching black comedy from the Coen Brothers is without question a movie about idiots. Brad Pitt stars as an IQ-deficient gym rat who discovers a disc of government secrets in the girls locker room—isn’t that where the CIA loses everything? The thing is, Pitt’s character believes so strongly in the “American way” he decides to make a buck off the information rather than simply return it. Frances McDormand plays his plastic surgery-loving accomplice, and John Malkovich is the moody recovering alcoholic and CIA analyst who just wants his stuff back.
