Brothers in brewing

Brothers and Baton Rouge residents Joseph and Nicholas Picou took second place at the prestigious American Homebrewers Association’s National Homebrew Competition. Held at the Town & Country Resort in San Diego, the event featured more than 1,600 entrants and more than 6,000 varieties of beer. The Picou brothers, home brewers since 2006, won the silver medal with their home-brewed Raisin’ Hell Rye Ale, a light hybrid beer. Find out more about the contest at homebrewersassociation.org.
