Celebrate Memorial Day with a fun-filled day, courtesy of BREC. The festivities kick off Saturday at 5 p.m. in Independence Park (Map it!) with softball, tennis, a golf clinic and more. Families are encouraged to bring a picture of veterans to be included on BREC’s Memorial Day Wall of Honor. At 7 p.m., BREC Superintendent Carolyn McKnight will host a short ceremony and the evening will continue at Liberty Lagoon water park with dinner and music starting at 7 p.m. Admission to the water park is $5 for veterans with a military ID or picture in uniform and $7 for all other attendees.
