Breakin’ in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge’s best breakers will go head-to-head this Saturday at the third annual Battle Royale breakdancing competition. Participants will dance-battle in two-on-two teams, popping, locking and showing off their best moves in the hopes of taking home the top prize. The event will also serve as a shoe drive for nonprofit Soles4Souls, so bring a pair of shoes you’ve outgrown to donate, and get $3 off the admission fee of $8. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tyler “Showkid” Wilson will host beginner and intermediate breakdancing workshops. $10 per class.
