BREADA celebrates anniversaries this weekend
This Saturday marks the anniversaries of BREADA’s Red Stick Farmers Market and Main Street Market. The former will celebrate 17 years while the latter is 11 years old. The birthday parties kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday at Fifth and Main streets with a harvest blessing and the cutting of an anniversary cake at the Red Stick Farmers Market. The John Gray Jazz Trio will provide music throughout the morning. Face painting will also be available for children. At Main Street Market, Poppy Tooker, the producer/host of the NPR-affiliated weekly radio show “Louisiana Eats,” hosts a special “Fresh from the Market” cooking demonstration.
